The 2017 Nissan Altima changes little from the 2016 model, which had a major refresh of the current generation. There was some additional styling, though, which gives it a bit more classy look, and some minor refinements that make this a solid sedan to consider. The Altima starts with a base package, and each package adds to the previous one. After the base package, there is the S, SV, SR and SL. The SR adds a more sporty touch to this mid sized sedan.
Engine choices are a 2.5 liter four cylinder that offers 182 horsepower. The SL and SR trim levels have a 3.5 liter, V6 that has 270 horsepower. All Altimas have a CVT (Continually variable speed transmission).
The SR Midnight Edition has the option of either engine. This special edition includes midnight black 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, black mirror caps and a black spoiler. The SR edition itself is a sporty version of the Altima, and the midnight edition adds some visual appeal to the sports related features for this edition.
Get the SR trim level, that provides a specially tuned sports suspension package, to give additional handling ease on the road.
