The X5 sDrive 35i has a 3.0 liter Twin Turban inline six-cylinder engine and 300 horsepower. The X5 xDrive 35i is similar and it has the same components as the other model. The X5 x Drive40 e has a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine and 308 horsepower. The X5 XDrive50i has a 4.4 liter V-8 engine and 443 horsepower.
The X5 comes with Dynamic Performance Control which distributes power between the rear wheels for greater handling and control. The X5 also features active roll stabilization which incorporates two-piece anti-roll bars that create stronger resistance to body roll, which keeps the car stable and level. The Dynamic Damper control is another feature adjusts to fit the driving conditions.
The 35i ‘s engine is designed High Precision direct fuel injection, Double VANOS and Valvetronic variable intake technologies, and it has a twin scroll turbocharger with little turbo lag. The 40e’s plug-in hybrid 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine works engine with the lithium ion power e-drive to deliver maximum performance. The 50i has a reverse flow engine that works in unison with High Precision Direct Injection.
